Author: Jodie Morgan loves knitting and meeting fabulous knitters. So she's a member of the Craft Industry Alliance too! Having family and friends who loved knitting made such an impression on her. Mum (“Granny” to her kids) is the inspiration for this site. She has hilarious memories of knitting a jumper with her Mum. They worked on the sleeves, Jodie the right sleeve, Mum the left. When they finished, Mum’s sleeve was 1 1/2 times as long! A lesson in knitting tension right there 🙂
She was keen to get back into knitting after a lapse of a few years. She's knitted baby blankets, cowls, hats, and dishcloths. They've made lovely gifts for wonderful people she's met on her travels. A little bit more about her...
She's from Melbourne, Australia and studied at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, (where she met the love of her life,) and La Trobe University. After earning a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education, she taught Food Technology at a high school. She developed a passion for growing organic vegetables and cooking, which inspired her to join the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program. Now she works on this site full-time.
