I highly recommend using a pattern to knit an Oversized Sweater. The designer gives details of the yarn weight and the yardage. This pattern requires a different amount of yarn if using an Addi machine. I share the details in my post.

The example pattern I’m using is the The Simple Knit Sweater by Ashleigh Kiser of Sewrella using garter stitch and simple ribbing. It includes 7 different sizes. It is a great option for beginners.
