No tightening keys with these interchangeable bamboo knitting needles. The tip and cord are connected with a screw.

There’s a rubber ring on the cord keeping it from loosening. Grooves on the clasp to grip and turn with ease.

  • Needles – 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10.5, 11 and 13.
  • Lengths – 16″, 24″, 32″
  • Needle Tips – 3.75″
  • Notions – 1 adapter, 4 stoppers, 2 tapestry needles, 1 gauge with built-in yarn cutter, 1 case

The cable joins are smooth, and the bamboo knitting needles spin so the cables don’t come undone.

It’s compact and easy to throw into a project bag.

Be careful with the finer needles as they break.

A longer Tulip interchangeable needle set. The tip and cord are connected with a screw in system.

The rotary cable join helps the cable swivel and never twists.

  • Sizes – US 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10.5, 11, 13
  • Cord Lengths – 3 cables (20″, 24″, 32″)
  • Needle Tips – 4.5″
  • Notions – 1 adapter, 4 stoppers, 2 tapestry needles, 1 gauge with built-in yarn cutter, 1 case

The cord spins in the medal connecter but never twists. Yarn slides over needles. The needles are marked with US/Metric.

It doesn’t include a smaller cable for 16″ projects.

  • Cord Lengths – 16″ (40cm), 24″ (60cm), 32″ (80cm), 40″ (100cm)

The sharp needle tips make knitting comfortable, and the flexible cable is great for magic loop knitting.

Don’t leave them where they may be sat on.

It seems the straight versions in Tulip Needles aren’t available in US sizing and only in the metric system.

The bamboo knobs on the end tell you what size it is.

  • Sizes – 2mm – 12mm
  • 25/35cm

A smooth surface. The finer needles could break if mishandled.

if I bought a set of 3.75″ and wanted to buy some sizes of the 4.5″ tips could I use them with the cables in the short set?

    • Hi Robyn. I’ve been in touch with the Tulip company in Japan. They suggested that you ask the store where you purchased your Tulip needles to see if they can order in a replacement. These are the details given by Tulip – The article number of CarryC Long Interchangeable Bamboo Knitting Needles US#5 (3.75mm) is “TP1247”. I’ve researched online to see if any online stores offer replacements but no luck yet. I’ll let you know if I do. Cheers Jodie

    • Hi Taura. The Tulip Carry C Long cords are just your standard clear plastic cord. It’s unlikely that they will kink because of the unique way the needle tip swivels independently of the cable. Cheers Jodie
