Here’s the information for how much yarn you need for Dog Sweaters in sizes S, M, L and 1X using Super Bulky Weight #6 yarn.

Small

To knit a Small Dog Sweater measuring finished chest 18 inches (45.5 cm), finished length 12 inches (30.5 cm)  – (using the example pattern) you will need a minimum of 106 yards (97 meters) of Super Bulky Weight #6 yarn, total weight of 6 oz (170 g) – Number of skeins is 1 skein (each skein weighs 6 oz/ (170 g).

Medium

To knit a Medium Dog Sweater measuring finished chest 22 inches (56 cm), finished length 17 inches (43 cm)  – (using the example pattern) you will need a minimum of 106 yards (97 meters) of Super Bulky Weight #6 yarn, total weight of 6 oz (170 g) – Number of skeins is 1 skein (each skein weighs 6 oz/ (170 g).

Large

To knita Large Dog Sweater measuring finished chest 26 inches (66 cm), finished length 20 inches (51 cm)  – (using the example pattern) you will need a minimum of 212 yards (194 meters) of Super Bulky Weight #6 yarn, total weight of 12 oz (340 g) – Number of skeins is 2 skeins (each skein weighs 6 oz/ (170 g).

1X

To knit a 1X Dog Sweater measuring finished chest 30 inches (76 cm), finished length 24 inches (61 cm)  – (using the example pattern) you will need a minimum of 318 yards (291 meters) of Super Bulky Weight #6 yarn, total weight of 18 oz (510 g) – Number of skeins is 3 skeins (each skein weighs 6 oz/ (170 g).
